Today Mars moved from Leo into Virgo at around 9:15 am UK time. Shortly after that I attended a morning prayer service at an Anglican church (not at all my usual habit). This church is on the busy high street of a city that is popular with many kinds of visitors, especially tourists. The service was not well attended, it seems most of the small group of us attending had wandered in while visiting the church and ended up staying through the service because, with the way the church was set up, it would be so disruptive and conspicuous to leave. But the priest was so committed to the service, and so dedicated, that we all were drawn in. They delivered a heartfelt service to our small audience, even as other tourists wandered in and out of the little chapel or stood at the edges to gawk. At the end, they dutifully walked to the exit of the chapel and thanked every one of us for being there. The Jupiter of it all, the Saturn of it all, are always there in the church, but watching this young priest fight against the anarchy of the tourists to give this serious service looked to me like Mars in Virgo. Conviction, separation, in repetitive devotion.
